Wild Boar Hunting Report:
April 27, 2003

Wild boar hunters Juan Cardenas (Orlando, FL - e-mail: jcardenas1@cfl.rr.com), Miguel Rodriguez and Fernando Valle each bagged a wild hog during a morning of wild boar hunting on April 27, 2003 with Ron's Guide Service. Juan (top left) used a 45-70 rifle. Miguel (bottom left) used a 44 caliber rifle and Fernando (bottom right) used a 357 caliber handgun. They hunted the sugar cane fields in the town of Lakeport.

We were VERY satisfied!!
The guides are great folk, congenial, proffessional.
The hunt was a great value, very exciting, fast paced, the price unbeatable with a "money back if no pig" feature to boot!
Now one of the most important parts! The hogs had no smell WHATSOEVER! THE MEAT WAS GREAT WITH NO NEED FOR MARINADING OR ANYTHING. I prepared my loins with a recipe from a Zimbawean safari cook. "Fruity Pork", Prepared with dried peaches and prunes. Delicious, everybody liked it. I can give you the recipe if you like, you could even make another page in your website for favorite recipes. These hogs from the sugarcane fields apparently have less gamey taste than the usual. It must be the diet.
I'll try next the meat prepared with another african bush recipe in which you use COCA COLA of all things as part of the gravy.
