Wild boar hunter tag-along
dad Dave Scheeres (Cosheston, Wales, UK - e-mail: dscheeres@aol.com)
and his 13 year-old son Simon bagged a wild boar hog during an
afternoon of wild boar hunting with Ron's Guide Service on July
11, 2005. They hunted the sugar cane fields in the town of Lakeport.

Hi Ron,
We had a
great time and shot a 200 pound hog. This was a good experience
for my son who is 13 and only just started shooting over here.
Your guides were good and we enjoyed their company, we visit Florida
on a regular basis and will do this again as the only hogs in
Wales are to be found in Supermarkets. My regular shooting is
stalking Red Deer and it made a nice change not to be crawling
through snow, mud or icy water ! You are right, shooting with
hounds is exciting when they get the scent and from what I can
see is about foolproof and almost guarantee's a shot.
The hog was good eating too, we ate the tenderloins that your
guide butchered for us, unfortunately British Customs wouldn't
have been too pleased if we'd tried to bring a hundred pounds
of hog meat home! See some photos attached.
Best regards
David and
