her dad Dennis and her boy friend Matt each bagged a wild hog
during a morning of wild boar hunting with Ron's Guide Service
on November 15, 2003. Kimberly used a bow to bag a boar hog with.
Her dad (below right) used a knife. Her boy friend (below left)
used a bow. They hunted the sugar cane fields in the town of Lakeport.

We had a real nice hunt
and certainly enjoyed ourselves. I took a sow about 175 lbs (acording
to Dick) and used my Buck knife. As you are aware we all wanted
to use our archery equipment but it was so thick and in the heat
of the moment that it just came down to the knife. My daughter
Kimberly had a " TV hunt" just perfect. Shot her 135#
sow with her bow at 15 yards a perfect double lung shot. This
is her first kill with a bow and I believe Dick was as proud as
I was. Kim's fiance' shot his first hog with his bow a 135# boar.
He had a tough hunt forging over a canal waist deep and again
Dick came though with flying colors. Of course we could never
have done this without Ronnie running those fine dogs. He always
showed up just when we needed him. Game preparation was first
rate. Dick seemed to never waste a movement and I got a first
class lesson on how to do it right. My sincere thanks to Dick
and Ronnie for a memorable hunt with my kids. After all if we
just wanted meat we could buy
